
A surreal world where the forest blends with the city, setting the stage for the Bears to move in. Utilizing Unreal Engine and running on a 32-foot LED volume set up at the Bears HQ to create an outcome that both pleased and delighted everyone involved.
We handled building all aspects of the virtual locations and traveled to be on-site, overseeing the virtual production and ensuring clear communication for a smooth production.
An Unreal Engine project that involved building seven locations based on well-known areas in Chicago, with a twist. All the city locations needed to be blended with the forest.







Once we had an understanding of the direction, we moved into Cinema 4D and Unreal Engine and began blocking out the scenes.
Atmosphere and overgrowth were a high priority because we needed to blend nature with the city.
We built a total of nine locations and were able to use seven of them for the shoot.






What began as a large empty space quickly filled up and became a Virtual Production LED volume stage.
We wasted no time getting the Unreal Engine project up and running on the wall as soon as Vu completed the two LED volume builds.
The haze was let loose, and the entire production team began running through a plethora of camera, lighting, and motion tests in preparation for the 50+ people that would be coming through over the next few days.
